Chemical Removal of Cu and Zn from Swine Feces before Soil Application

نویسندگان

چکیده

Cu and Zn are known to be abundant in swine feces; hence, concentrations of these metals need lowered before feces applied land order prevent potential environmental problems. The main objective this study was develop an appropriate chemical process remove from using acid extractions. removal efficiencies decreased the H2SO4 > HNO3 organic acids (citric oxalic acids). Owing highest by H2SO4, it selected for further elimination feces. By optimal concentration, solid-to-liquid ratio, reaction time were 2%, 1:50, 8 h, respectively. At optimum conditions, concentration 198 mg/kg 40.1 474 80.0 mg/kg, with rates 79.7% 83.1%, low efficiency, resulting strong complexation between matter feces, improved increase solution concentrations. However, about half total nitrogen (TN) also removed indicating that treated may have poor value as fertilizer. Additional studies required find method maintain TN while simultaneously removing Zn.

Improved removal of Trinitrotoluene (TNT) from contaminated soil by inducing aerobic process: kinetic and chemical byproducts

This study describes the biological degradation of TNT by using induced aeration. Three plastic reactors were used. In each reactor 3 kg of soil were used. In order to increase the porosity of the soil, sawdust was added to soil. Textile wastewater treatment plant sludge was also added to soil. TNT at the concentrations of 1000 mg/kg of soil was added thereafter. Rhamnolipid biosurfactant at th...

application of sand–soil–organic matter filter column for removal of cu, ni, zn and cr heavy metals from industrial waste water

abstract in order to investigate the removal of copper, nickel, zinc and chromium from industrial waste water by a sand–soil–organic matter filter column, this experiment was conducted at a completely randomized design with sixteen treatments and four replications. p.v.c tubes (columns) with 66.5 cm height and 10 cm diameter were chosen and filled from down to top by coarse gravel (15 cm), sand...

Removal of Cd(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) from aqueous solutions by live Phanerochaete chrysosporium.

Living Phanerochaete chrysosporium mycelia were used to remove heavy metals of Cd(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) in auqeous solution. The uptake of heavy metal by the mycelia was dependent on the environmental conditions. The optimum biosorption conditions of Cd(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) were pH 5.5-6.5 at 37 degrees C, and 6 h. Under these conditions, the fungal biosorbent removed Cd(II), Cu(II), and Zn...

Electrodeposition of Zn, Cu, and Zn-Cu Alloys from Deep Eutectic Solvents

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) comprising choline chloride (ChCl) with either urea or ethylene glycol (EG) have been successfully used as powerful and potential electrolytes for extracting metals from their corresponding metal oxide precursors. In this work, for electrodeposition of Zn and Zn-Cu alloys, ChCl/urea-based DES was employed. Cyclic voltammetry study demonstrates that the reduction of...
